Origin Story
Doña Sofia Plocharski (Guatemala)
J. Hill & Aida Batlle (El Salvador)
Prime Meridian is built around a fully washed coffee from Guatemala produced by Doña Sofia Plocharski on her family farm, Finca Armenia Lorena. Passed down from generation to generation, this farm showcases what's possible when each caretaker in a lineage stewards the land with excellence. Doña Sofia has brought a fresh wave of innovation, integrating modern processing methods and data-driven farming practices while preserving the farm's historic charm. This coffee’s flavors of milk chocolate and spice act as Prime Meridian Blend’s foundation.
For added complexity and fruit flavors we included a natural processed coffee from Finca Buenos Aires in the Santa Ana region of El Salvador. The natural or dry method of processing typically imparts fruit-forward flavors which results from the coffee fruit being left on the bean fully intact when drying. When combined, these two distinctly different coffees come together to create an extremely approachable, balanced and complex blend.

Why We Love This Coffee
Featuring coffees from some of the world’s best known and most beloved producing countries, Prime Meridian Blend is designed to be smooth and satisfying. Originally, the blend was developed in collaboration with a Bay Area technology company for serving in their offices. One of their employees suggested the name “Prime Meridian” as a whimsical play on Equator’s name.
