French Roast Blend Fair Trade Organic

French Roast Blend features a high grown, fully-washed coffee from Latin America as its foundation. The origin country fluctuates throughout the crop year to ensure freshness but, we always include bright-toned coffees with flavors of bittersweet chocolate and dried fruit.

A wet-hulled coffee grown by members of Koperasi Pertanian Gayo Lauser Antara (KPGLA) in Sumatra’s Aceh Province rounds out the blend. This coffee’s classic Sumatran character perfectly complements the Latin American coffee by adding depth and body.

COMUCAP (Asociación Coordinadora de Mujeres Campesinas de La Paz) is a women’s cooperative located in southwestern Honduras, in the Marcala growing region. The group started as a support group for the women of the La Paz community, and as the group grew, they received interest from NGOs who trained the members to cultivate coffee and other agricultural products. COMUCAP and Equator are both women-owned, which is why this coffee has been special to everyone at Equator since we first purchased it over ten years ago.
