Sense of Urgency Blend

Celebrating the 30th anniversary of Chef Thomas Keller’s legendary restaurant The French Laundry, Sense of Urgency Blend highlights a delightfully fragrant coffee from Sumatra. Produced by members of the Ketiara Cooperative, this coffee contributes notes of fresh tobacco leaf, a nod to the restaurant’s spirits program and unique cigar collection, which was developed to extend the guest experience at the end of the meal. Affectionately known as Queen Ketiara, this coffee is grown by women members of the co-op in Sumatra’s Aceh Province.

Next a vibrant and citrusy coffee from Kenya was added to accentuate flavors of the Sumatra component, and contribute a subtle hint of fruit-toned acidity. A syrupy sweet coffee from Colombia adds chocolatey smoothness, balancing out the blend’s more aromatically assertive coffees. Together these coffees, along with a medium-dark roast degree, create a well-balanced blend that celebrates 30 years of memories at one of the best restaurants in the world.

One dollar from each bag of Sense of Urgency Blend sold will go to OLE Health, which has been providing high-quality health care in and around Napa since 1972.
